Tell dispatch the vehicle description, where it was picked up, and whether an insurance claim has been opened. Ask how to authorize release to your insurer or another transporter. Storage at the Elizabeth lot does not mean insurance has approved payment.
Documents and pickup arrangements
Ask which ownership, identity and authorization documents apply to your situation, including pickup by someone other than the owner. Confirm whether the vehicle can be driven or must be transported. Do not assume an expired registration or a verbal authorization will be sufficient.
Police impounds, recovered stolen vehicles and holds
Contact the law enforcement agency about any hold or agency release. Call Brothers to coordinate the vehicle-specific process before arranging pickup. Access to the vehicle, belongings or an insurance inspection may depend on the applicable hold and release requirements.
Belongings and unavailable owners
Ask dispatch how to arrange access to belongings and what authorization a representative needs. We will discuss your situation directly; this page does not promise unrestricted access or prescribe notarization requirements.
Charges and next steps
Request current towing, storage and any applicable release charges, payment arrangements and pickup hours from dispatch. Older published fee schedules are not quoted here as current rates. Do not assume that surrendering a title cancels charges. If you dispute a charge or release requirement, request an explanation and consult the appropriate Colorado authority.
